Big things are happening in SecturaFAB. You may already be feeling the faster load times and smoother navigation, but that's just the start. Here's what else came with our recent upgrades.
Nesting: Up to 51% Faster
Because faster nesting means faster quotes, we dug in deep on nesting performance:
• Up to 51% faster multi-part nesting
• Up to 46% faster single-part nesting
• 29% average improvement across nesting samples
Gains vary by part complexity and nest size. Bigger, more complex nests see the biggest improvement.
Merge Quotes: More Reliable Than Ever
Enhanced loading means merge quotes now handles even your largest quote histories without errors. Go ahead and split that massive quote into sections, put multiple estimators on it in parallel, and merge it all into one quote when you're done. Faster, more accurate quoting with no 300-line-item scroll.
Group Actions: Fixed for Linear Line Items
You asked, we fixed it. Group edit on linear line items now changes only the field you edit, so thicknesses you never touched stay put. Swap machines to compare costs and trust that the rest of your data holds.
Plus, even more performance updates
• Quote Control Panel opens quickly even with large quote histories, and results load as you scroll
• Organization pages open fast at any quote volume, with the Quotes tab back as the default view
• Cost category dropdowns are more reliable and match accurately as you type, even across thousands of categories
• Product pages load faster for the same view
• CAD import keeps your place in the list when you delete a part
• New organizations automatically capture ownership details for accurate tracking and reporting
• Secondary operations respond faster across the board

We're excited to re-introduce Automated Notifications, giving you real-time alerts for the events that actually need your attention.
Instead of refreshing a page to find out where a quote stands, you can set alerts for key moments and let SecturaFAB tell you when something moves.
With Automated Notifications you can set real-time alerts for:
• Quotes awaiting your approval
• Pricing approvals
• Won quotes
• High-value deals
For managers, this replaces the daily check-in ritual on quotes sitting in someone else's queue. For estimators, it means an approval that used to sit unnoticed for a day now surfaces the moment it lands.

We've fixed weight override so it behaves the same way no matter how a product got onto your quote.
Remember the days when clicking the Plate button and overriding weight worked, but coming in through CAD didn't? That inconsistency is gone.
With this release, you can:
• Override weight when using the CAD, Shapes, Long, and Plate buttons
• Count on overridden weights staying consistent across every product on a quote
This one came directly from your feedback. If a quote depends on a weight you've adjusted by hand, that adjustment now holds through the rest of the quoting flow instead of quietly reverting depending on how the product was added.

Tired of quotes timing out when an assembly operation BOM needed cost adjustments?
We've reworked the performance behind hardware, making cost editing a breeze within the BOM.
Assembly operations carry the most hardware, which meant the quotes most likely to need a cost correction were also the ones most likely to stall when you tried to make one. Editing hardware costs inside the BOM now responds quickly regardless of how much hardware the assembly carries.

You asked and we delivered. Quoting tube laser jobs just got way easier with our new linear CAD algorithm.
The new algorithm reads considerably more of the geometry on its own, which means less time correcting what the import missed and better data going into the quote.
What's new:
• Automatic detection of square, round, and rectangular tubing
• More accurate tube laser run times
• Captures product types, dimensions, and internal geometry
• Part attributes get picked up automatically
Heads up: large assemblies might take a few extra seconds to process. The boost in precision is well worth the wait.
Better data means better quotes and bigger profits on every tube laser job.

You can now upload SolidWorks 2025 files, both assemblies and part files, directly into SecturaFAB.
No more emailing a customer to ask for a different format, and no more waiting on their reply before you can start the quote. The file they sent is the file you can use.
This saves you loads of time and manual steps in your quoting flow, particularly on assemblies where converting formats meant losing structure you then had to rebuild by hand.

We've given our Quote Details page a major facelift, bringing you deeper insights on every quote in a more visual layout.
With more detailed breakdowns and easy to read charts, you can monitor the profitability of every quote and pinpoint where to make adjustments that drive higher margins.
The old page told you what a quote totaled. The new one shows you how it got there: where cost is concentrated, how material and time stack up against each other, and which line items are carrying or dragging your margin. That's the difference between knowing a quote is thin and knowing what to change about it.

With our latest updates, you can upload 3D models and assemblies in minutes rather than hours.
We've taken what used to be an hour-long process and turned it into roughly a five-minute task. SecturaFAB now accepts SolidWorks 2025 files.
For shops quoting assemblies, import time was a real constraint on how many jobs you could get through in a day. Cutting it to minutes changes which quotes are worth taking on at all.

We've updated how linear costs calculate, making your quotes more accurate and reducing the need for recalculations.
With this release:
• Per unit costing is now available for linear parts
• Linear Step files support upgraded sizes
Recalculation is the hidden tax on linear quoting. Every time a cost comes back wrong, you're not just fixing that number, you're re-checking everything downstream of it. More accurate calculations up front mean fewer of those passes.
